Whether they work in our neighborhood stores, area distribution centers (DCs), or corporate offices, every team member at O’Reilly has opportunities to give back to their communities.
Providing service and giving back to our neighbors isn’t just something that happens when you’re a customer making a purchase. It’s part of who we are as Team O’Reilly.
Our Stores
While O’Reilly is a large company, it’s made up of neighborhood stores.
Each store has a yearly budget for local donations and sponsorships that enables them to support their community by providing funding for local recipients, like local non-profit organizations or community events. Additionally, when a new store opens, its team chooses a local charity for a special contribution.
In our stores, every single interaction is an opportunity to impact our neighbors as we build strong relationships. To serve our customers, we offer a number of free services, including:
- Check engine light diagnostics with O’Reilly VeriScan
- Battery testing and installation
- Wiper blade installation
- Bulb replacement (may depend on application and accessibility)
- Free loaner tool program
O’Reilly team members work together to change a headlight bulb for a customer.

Our Distribution Centers
One key way our DCs care for communities across their region is by stocking and assembling disaster shipments. They stage key supplies like generators and bottled water in the DCs so they can go out quickly in the wake of a natural disaster. In 2024, during hurricane response alone, we trucked almost 500 generators into hard-hit areas to provide critical power. We are dedicated to getting our communities the supplies they need without an increase in prices.
The DCs also hold regular events to collect items for the community, including things like school supplies or holiday gifts, and DC team members participate in community activities and volunteer opportunities with local organizations.

Our Offices
Our offices work with local organizations to organize blood drives, donation drives, and volunteer opportunities. United Way’s “Day of Caring” is just one example of a community event where our team members pitch in to help. Groups regularly sign up for food and supply packing events at their local food banks and relief agencies.
Additionally, the company’s twice yearly O’Reilly Charity Golf Classic in Springfield, Missouri, raises money for charities that provide help for at-risk individuals and families, child advocacy, domestic violence response, homelessness, hunger, literacy, poverty, and preventive health.
Across the company, team members in every region and job category have chosen to reserve money from their paychecks to benefit their local United Way.
